In a bid to fight back the deadly coronavirus ravaging countries and letting users keep in touch with their loved ones. MTN NG has decided to show great support to Nigerians and other countries using the mobile network.
The telecommunications company yesterday announced via it twitter handle that it will be giving out free 300 SMS to all her subscribers to connect with their loved ones during this Covid-19 pandemic.
The free 300 SMS offer is available to every one on the MTN network and can be use to send SMS to all networks, each users get free 10 SMS daily for the next 30 days.

"We understand how important it is to keep in touch with loved ones during this period. Now you can with Free 300 SMS to all networks. #StaySafe #StayConnected." MTN tweeted.
While this may be welcome by some subscribers, others have reacted and took to the page of the mobile network to shared their disappointment. As at this lockdown period. Nigerians are lamenting and not finding it funny either, with the telecoms company.

One might thought during this critical trying time, price of data plans would be reduced or offer for free, but it seems the telecommunications generally ain't ready for that.
In this modern age where about 85% - 90% of people uses instant messaging platforms and apps like WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter to communicate with their loved ones which requires data.
